Harrian Bookkeeping

A service matched to your workload

Pricing is based on the actual bookkeeping required rather than the business name or industry. During the initial discussion, I will ask about your monthly transaction volume, bank accounts, sales platforms, software and the condition of your existing records.

This helps ensure the quotation reflects the amount of work involved. Straightforward businesses with organised records may fit a standard monthly package, while higher transaction volumes or catch-up work may require a separate quotation.

How the monthly process works

  1. Initial discussion: We discuss your business, current bookkeeping process and the support required.
  2. Clear quotation: You receive a fixed quotation based on the estimated monthly workload.
  3. Onboarding: Access, documents and agreed bookkeeping information are provided securely.
  4. Ongoing bookkeeping: Records are maintained and reconciled at the agreed frequency.

Bookkeeping only—clear boundaries

Harrian Bookkeeping currently provides bookkeeping services only. Payroll, VAT return submission, Self Assessment tax returns, statutory accounts, tax advice, auditing and financial advice are not provided.

Your organised bookkeeping records can be shared with the accountant or tax adviser responsible for those services.

Common Questions

Small business bookkeeping FAQs

Do I have to use Xero?

No. Your current process can be discussed first. Harrian Bookkeeping primarily works with Xero, but the right setup depends on your business and existing records.

Can you help if my bookkeeping is behind?

Catch-up and clean-up work may be available. It is reviewed and quoted separately before ongoing monthly bookkeeping begins.

Do you work with cash-based businesses?

This depends on the volume and quality of the records. The process for recording cash takings and expenses would need to be reviewed before a quotation is provided.

Will you submit my tax return?

No. Harrian Bookkeeping maintains the underlying records. Your accountant or tax adviser remains responsible for tax returns, accounts and tax advice.

How much does the service cost?

Monthly packages start from £250. The final quotation depends on the number of transactions and accounts, the condition of the records and how frequently the work needs to be completed.
